Responses: Deflated: “Ghar Wapasi” Balloon of RSS: Open Letter to Shri Mohan Bhagwat;

Dear Readers,

At the onset I wish to thank you all for tremendous response to the post, “Deflated: “Ghar Wapasi” Balloon of RSS: Open Letter to Shri Mohan Bhagwat;

The post has gone viral on internet with over 800 unknown people sharing it on their FACEBOOK page. I thank my colleague, Stanley Fernandes for mass circulation of the letter via E Mail.

We have received number of calls and emails complimenting the efforts. Re posting herewith, some of the responses for the benefit of the readers of SILENT VOICE. The best one is the hand written note from a 90 years old Religious, Sr. Marie Rose from Nagpur, which I shall cherish for life. The same has been posted herewith.

I thank Fr. Austin Norris, Parish Priest of St. Anthony’s Church, Malwani for publishing it in Parish News Letter, TONIANTWEETS; through which Bishop Percival Fernandes learnt about it and sent his compliments.

Unfortunately, the EXAMINER, Newsweekly published by Bombay Archdiocese, has not published it, in spite of I personally handing it over to Archbishop Cardinal Oswald Gracias, with a request to do so.

It was also mailed to SUVARTA/SHANTIDOOT, the Community News Letter published by Vasai Diocese.

Anyways, I thank, once again, all the readers of SILENT VOICE.

GREG

Why we Christians always think that our forefathers were converted from Hinduism to Christianity? When Christianity came to India in the first century AD nobody was talking about religion, our forefathers may not be the followers of any religion at that time. That’s why our past generations never been Hindus therefore, the issue of conversion of our earlier generations doesn’t arise at all and we need not be apologetic about it. We still assume that 80% of India is Hindu, it’s a myth. About 20-30% of the Indian population still do not follow any religion but RSS Parivar thinks that every one is Hindu. Religion doesn’t fill the empty stomachs. The brahminical forces just to want to keep on harping that this country is a Hindu Rashtra which is still a myth.

Hinduism is not a religion, it’s way of life with lot of rituals, caste systems. If not why the caste system is still prevalent in India? Dr Ambedkar was the first mass leader who got fed up with the Varna system and wanted to liberate people from Hinduism. One need to read and understand his childhood history to understand the boycott & difficulty faced by the backward classes during his time. The system has not changed much even today in spite of education & awareness. Hinduism also gives more importance to superstitions, those who oppose are either threatened or killed and sometimes forced to leave their settlements. Dr Perumal, UR Ananthamurthy and Dr Dabholkar are the examples of our recent memory.

Hinduism is a peace loving religion but Hindutva is a dangerous way of religion. All Hindus are not happy with Babri Masjid demolition, Ghar wapsi and threats in the name of religion. People want to live in peace, only 2% brahminical forces who are part of RSS want to keep the communal card burning. The new brahminical generations do not want to even join RSS as they do not subscribe to its ideology and therefore RSS is roping in the unemployed youth from OBCs by paying stipend and later regular salary as a pracharaks. For the youth of this country & their poor families it’s a matter of survival hence they mainly join RSS for a better life. Their parents are happy because they start earning at a very young college going days. These youth slowly become community leaders as they go through training and attain success within a short span. Since they are picked up at a very young age, by the age of 20 -22 they become full fledged pracharaks who start preaching against minorities. They think that all the ills faced by this country is only because of minorities

RSS and it’s parivar cannot survive without racking up issues every now & then. Their ideology killed the Father of the Nation and the trend still continue for those who oppose them. The cadres are given arm training, talking peace is new to them.They never respect Indian tri-colour but their own saffron flag. They never respected Gandhi but there is a history of hatred directed towards him and the same hatred killed him.

Ever since BJP came to power, the attacks on minorities have increased. The PM’s silence has emboldened the Parivar cadre to come out openly and create communal disturbance. Just to keep the tempo of disturbance RSS keep on raking the conversion bogey. Every one has a right to practice & propagate his own religion under the constitution. If anyone has any information about any conversion they are free to file a case but Hindutva forces do not want to follow the law of land but choose to intimidate the minorities. The missionaries have brought education, hope, dignity to the masses of this country and people opted for conversion looking at their good work. Only the community failed them to absorb into the mainstream because of the brahminical forces prevailing within the community. Only during the last 10-20 years things have started changing. Hope good sense prevail everywhere.

      Dear Brother
      it was a very well written letter. if a person have even little sense of remorse would be a changed person. but, as bible said, its useless to throw Perls in front of the pigs. you should also sent him a copy written in hindi, i doubt he knows to read english.

      i wish more and more christian writers come forward and write such articles and publish them in various print and electronic media.

      Dear Mr. Pereira,

      Bravo and kudos to you. I must congratulate you on the letter to RSS chief. Trust the Lord will open their eyes to the truth. We now pray “Lord forgive them for they know not what they do”. They do need our prayers. They are but the Indian version of IS – fanatics and lack brotherhood. May the Lord forgive them. Thank you on all our behalf.
      God bless you.

      Yes, this is a wonderful letter with love and desire for clarity and not hatred.. If facts are sincerely studied and understood by all, none will follow these fundamentalist philosophy propagated by Bhagwat. It is really nice if people like Bhagwat has a dialogue with others.

      Hello Mr. Pereira,

      I am Xavier Francis, originally from New Delhi. Now live in NY for 41 years. I am a medical professional, married with two grown up children and six grand children. Now I am retired but happily residing in NY with my wife, who belongs to Kerala. We both are, practicing Roman Catholics.

      I am writing to congratulate you for writing a very bold and open letter to some fool, who does not,

      even, know what is his religion. I am not a scholar but have a good knowledge of the believes people, like MB(RSS)) practices. I have had some discussion, while visiting small town in Himachal ( Solan ) near Shimla. The person is a professor in Chandigarh. He is Ph.D. He is an Indian. The topic was Hindu, Religion. He said, there is no religion as such called Hindu Dharm. Centuries ago; an Aryan tribe travelled to South-East from their native land. (Swastika) is the sign of their origin which is used in Germany

      They came down from Asia Minor which is considered to be the place somewhere south of Germany and close to some East European countries. They crossed over the mountains and entered a place called Sind which is on the western side of River Sindh ( now in Pakistan). These invaders named the inhabitants of Sind (Sindhi) as they travelled east and crossed over the Sindh river they landed on the Eastern ghat of Sindh River and they called that place Hind. They called people of that land Hindu. So everybody who lived in that place, they called them Hindu because they live in Hind. Now by fact we all know the people who live in the countries their origin, are identified by the name of the country they live in. No matter what their beliefs may be. All over the world and in every country people practice different religion for their convenience but they all are identified after the name of their native country. In India, no matter where we go, we all called Indian because we are born in India. Since India was called Hind by those invaders, we all are called Hindu. Every individual person born and live in Hind is called Hindu no matter which religion we belong to. Hindus, their religion does not have a name. Their religion is the religion of convenience, which is the culture and habit, which they follow for million years. It is what they are trying to impose on common men. Whatever you have written, about the constitutional rights of people, is true and we feel very proud of you. You have done an excellent job by writing very boldly and courageously.

      We wish, you had sent a copy of this letter to all the leading news papers in India. If you wish, I can find out the name and addresses of all the American papers so you can email them. Congratulations and I pray for you so these wolves do not run after you. They are brain less people.

      Xavier
