Cardinal Oswald Gracias

Dear Friends,

Monday the 15th, July; received a call from Archbishop’s House, at around 8.30 PM. Was surprised to hear H. E. Cardinal Oswald Gracias, speaking from the other end. He called to thank your’s truly, for bringing to his notice, following matter. He has promised to look into it. Hopefully, he will be able to stall once again, the evil design of crook elements within Church Administration.

Archbishop also appreciated our SOUL efforts, related to Land Acquisition Notices, to St. Anthony’s Church, Malwani, BMC administration.

  13th, July, 2013;

To,

Most Rev. Cardinal Oswald Gracias,

Archbishop of Bombay

Your Eminence,

Sub: Examiner Press Building

We hope, this letter finds you in pink of health, and congratulations on your appointment, as advisor to Holy Father, Pope Francis. Your Eminence, Enclosed is a text of the letter, received from one Mr. Frank D’costa, in connection with Examiner Press Building, which is in the process of clandestine disposal, by the Archdiocesan Estate Director. The attached letter explains the modus operandi of these elements in the Estate office. We call upon you to intervene in the matter immediately and stop them from going ahead with this clandestine sale of renown Church Property. If it is being done with your approval, we the Laity expect you to issue a statement, clarifying this sale… Laity has lost faith in Church administration, vis a vis properties and finance. Let the administration be transparent in dealing with property matters; we are sure, Laity will support you. We expect you to follow in the footsteps of Holy Father, Pope Francis, who has embarked on cleansing of Vatican; to do the same to Archdiocese of Bombay….It needs similar treatment. By the way, matter related to OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL CHURCH, SION; is still unresolved. Is the Parish Priest so strongly placed that you are unable to rein him in to restore the Sacred CANON LAW…which is always cited, by the clergy, to silence the Laity?

We hope, you will act wisely, in both the cases to prove that you are the Boss….

Yours always, in OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

GREG R. PEREIRA

LETTER FROM MR. FRANK D’COSTA****

GREG R. PEREIRA                                                                                                  29th, June, 2013;

A7 RODRIGUES COMPOUND,

MALWANI VILLAGE, MALAD (W),

MUMBAI – 400095 Sir,

Re: Illegal renting/sale of ground floor and first floor of Examiner Press Building at Dalal Street, Mumbai-00001.

  1. I have written this letter to you, as I have become aware that once again a serious effort is made to rent/sell off the properties of the Church. An earlier attempt to sell the entire building of examiner press building at Dalal street, Mumbai-00001 had failed as you and other catholic citizens had brought pressure on the Archdiocese of Bombay.
  1. Now the Estate Director is renting/selling off the ground floor and first floor of examiner press building at dalal street, Mumbai-00001. This time no advertisement is issued or offer invited. The price fixed is Rs. 23,000/- per square foot which is much lower than the market price of Rs. 35,000/- per square foot. The plan is to build partition walls and rent/sell small offices to the purchasers individually and collect monies. The first floor (carpet area 4,300 square feet) is being sold to lawyers and the ground floor (carpet area 3,500 square feet) is being sold to a business center and earn huge profits from renting cabin space.
  1. The purchasers are persons known to the Estate Director and some of the committee members. I have found out that the purchasers are:

(1)Retired Bombay high court judge Mr. F.I.  R*****o and his son A****y R*****o; (2)Advocate Mr. V. D***d; (3)Advocate Mr. D’****a who is also an advocate for the examiner press Trust and some other advocates.

  1. I am told that Senior Advocate Mr. J*****n R**s is trying to influence the committee and get approval for sale of the premises as he is a well wisher of justice F. I. R*****o.
  1. I urge you to take immediate steps to stop the sale of these premises. Otherwise, certain persons will make huge illegal profits and valuable property belonging to the church will be lost forever. It is important to expose all the crooked persons involved in this transaction. In the name of the lord, please act quickly. All the information in this letter can be confirmed by making enquiery with any estate broker operating in fort, Mumbai or with the Estate Directoir himself.

Regards,

Sd/-

Frank D’costa
