At 70, all I can hope for is that some of the humility and simplicity of our new Pope Francis rubs off on to all the wily clergy we presently have; and that they realise that they are shepherds who are there to care for their flock; and most certainly not loot and molest them

Hey Fergy, I think you ought to take back your rude comment on the clergy, off course I accept the fact that there could be Judases in the clergy, but most of them are really wonderful holy people who are striving hard to shepherd the scattered flock into God’s domain, and I know so many of them who have inspired me to live my life through tough times. It would be better if you could pray for the clergy and rather than generalize and criticize them. They all need our prayers. May God be with you and have a nice day.

    Hello friends,
If lay people can change through retreats and talks what stops some of the clergy who are involved in some or other scandals?

We have been praying through out our lives for the religious, but looks like God has given them a free hand. If any one is unnecessarily accused, let them clarify or put forward their views on this site. In spite of so many accusations in the past I never come across even a single clarification and arrogance still continue. What should I think ?
